If you take prescription medication that in any way deals with issues such as anxiety or depression or even pain relief and there's a warning on a label that you shouldn't mix this with alcohol. Or says something about use caution when using this with alcohol, I'm going to give you a little piece of advice. Don't use alcohol at all. With some medications such as Effexor, which is a very powerful drug especially at the 150 mg dose, this medication along with any alcohol (1-2 glasses of wine) can cause total memory black out. You can end up driving a car not even know you're in it and walking around and talking sort of in a zombie state but still managing to get around.

That stuff with alcohol is dangerous. Don't be out there drinking with any medication because you don't know how it's going to affect you. There's a condition called synergistic effect which is one plus one is not two when it comes to taking medication and alcohol. It’s one plus one equals five-seven. The intensity varies by the individual and the dose. Don't ever risk a DUI which you would be charged with if they drew blood and found those two chemicals in your system. That combination can be deadly and many accidents happen when someone half asleep from that medication in a blackout runs into another car.
