There are many governmental agencies involved with DUI enforcement in Georgia. Of course the police at various levels from state patrol, county officers, city officers and municipal officers of every type including college police. They start the case out and then it goes to the prosecutor's office who decides what charges to actually bring against you. The Department of Driver Services, which is what some people would think of as the DMV you're a DPS office, controls your driver's license and whether or not your license will be suspended as a result of convictions or points.

Also the Department of Public Safety is the office by which the State Patrol works in. The Department of Public Safety issues certain forms that are relevant to these cases, such as the 1205 Form, for you either refusing or taking the test and being over the legal limit. Be aware that we're familiar with all these departments we work with him all the time we have direct contact numbers to those offices if you need help in any of these areas.
