If you're stopped at a roadblock and your asked to get out and do field sobriety evaluations, these are optional. That includes all field sobriety evaluations (also known as FST’s): walk and turn, one leg stand, lean your head back close your eyes and touch your nose, alphabet test, and count backwards. Anything like that is a field sobriety evaluation. There's one purpose for these tests and that's to incriminate you. These evaluations are made to fail.

Studies done at Clemson University 15 years ago showed that they are not designed for you to pass. You have to score better than ninety eight percent on the walk and turn or one lead stand to pass that. You couldn't even do that in school. Don't take any field evaluations and don't take a hand held breath test. Say, “no thank you, I'd like to speak to an attorney” and exercise your constitutional rights.
