Many people try to go to their first court appearance thinking, “well let me see what’s going on” or “let me see if I can save some money, I just may want to plead guilty”. Unfortunately that first hearing is usually the arraignment. The arraignment means this is the time where you either plead guilty or not guilty and certain legal rights accrue at that time. If you don't file certain motions you waive them. Certain motions that you do file then maybe the end of the case and may help you resolve the case without having to go to trial.

Talk to us ahead of time. The appointment is free and you're going to get a lot of documentation and even a book for free when you come see me. Why not come in and have us do an evaluation and see what your case is about. If you could do this case yourself, we wouldn’t need to be here. Give us a call and let us talk to you about the case and don't go to an arraignment alone.
