Georgia DUI Intoxilyzer 5000 Unsophisticated Equipment
This machine, the Intoxilyzer 5000, was actually invented and patented almost twenty five years ago. It's been in use in one form or another since that time and there's another machine that’s been produced after this called the Intoxilyzer 8000 that’s made by the same company off the same basic platform. This device doesn't use sophisticated equipment. The computer that runs this device is the same computer that ran the Pong game where you would bat a little fake tennis ball back and forth on the Pong game. The pump that clears the chamber each time is the same two dollar pump you get on an aquarium if you need to get an aquarium pump.
The equipment in here is not sophisticated. It’s got a nice hard shell but even that hard shell doesn't prevent radio frequency interference. When it was invented we didn't have cell phones. They didn’t shield it for cell phone, PDA, or Bluetooth rays. They just didn't have to do it because it wasn’t out there. Guess what happens when this thing is exposed to any type of radiation like a cell phone call. Guess what happens to the results. You’ll have to wait for the next clip to see that.
