If you have a repeat offense DUI within the time period set by Georgia law and you are going to be convicted of that you need to understand that any vehicles titled in your name in this state will have to have all the tags collected and turned into the court. The intention of the law is to embargo or prevent those cars from being driven. The law does permit one family member by proving hardship to drive one car but a special tag is put on there to signal the police that this is the car of someone who's a repeat offender.

That would be very popular with family members if they were to be pulled over I’m sure. You have to understand if you’re a car collector or you've got several cars, you’re going to have to turn in all the tags for one full year and until you get reinstated to drive, they’re going to hold on to those tags. This is another penalty that you want to try and avoid by coming to someone who knows how to fight the case and hopefully can help you get a non-DUI disposition.
