Good Relationship with Georgia Prosecutors

Many criminal defense lawyers and prosecutors express animosity towards one another. I generally don't have a relationship like that with most prosecutors. I find is often helpful to tell the prosecutors the deficiencies or problems in their case prior to the time that we go to court. For example, I had a client that blew a .17 on the state administered chemical test. However, the officer did not perform the test according to the way that he was trained.

I had gotten documentation of this and prior to any court hearing I'd shown these documents to the police officer and he admitted he made a mistake. Together we went to the prosecutor and got an extremely tough case of a .17 breath test reduced down to a reckless driving. I believe that it is good to have a working relationship with all prosecutors and in many cases we can resolve these issues prior to the time of any sort of contested hearing.
