If you took the test and were over the legal limit or you refused the test, the officer probably required you to sign a form, a yellow 8.5 x11 form called the DPS 1205. That form is required to be signed because you are acknowledging that you received it and you’re asking that your privilege to drive be extended until you can have a hearing.

If you didn't sign that form you need to call us immediately because you may not be authorized to drive until that hearing takes place. That is until we do certain things so that the Department of Driver Services can get that hearing. We can file that for you and can explain all of your rights but don't go out on the road driving and risk another type of offense from driving while suspended.
