Although I emphasized to clients, “Don't get in trouble again while this is pending because it’s going to create tremendous problems.” It still happens from time to time. Let me explain the dilemma in a way that will make a lot of sense to you. If we have a judge and maybe a prosecutor that’s willing to look at a first time offense and give you a break. Once they hear about another case pending, it changes everything.

I recently had a case involving a single car vehicle wreck in one county and before I can finish the case when I had the prosecutor talking about completely drop the case because the test results showed only pharmaceutical drugs and no alcohol in the person's system. Lo and behold another accident in the adjacent county. It took the computers about a week before they hooked up and all of a sudden my deal is gone. It looks like now we’ll have to try both cases with the fees and risk associated with that. If number one had been resolved it would have made trying number two a lot easier. Now we have to try both.
